The presented saber is a miniature version so-called batorowka – the Hungarian-Polish saber common in 16th century Poland. It’s name originated from the king of Poland Stephen Batory (1533-1586). He annexed the Livonia to the Poland as a result of Polish-Russian War (1577-1582). He reformed Polish army and navy.
