This weapon is a replica of well known Thompson submachine gun, version M1928, an American submachine gun, invented by John T. Thompson in 1918. The Thompson was also known informally as: the "Tommy Gun", "Trench Broom", "Trench Sweeper", "Chicago Typewriter", "Chicago Piano", "Chicago Style", "Chicago Organ Grinder", and "The Chopper". In 1938, the Thompson submachine gun was adopted by the U.S. military, serving during World War II and beyond. Known as Al Capone weapon.

The M1928 A1 had provisions for stick-boxed and drum magazines. Moreover, it was equipped with a Cutts compensator while its barrel had cooling fins responsible for getting rid of the excess heat. On the top of the receiver there was the charging handle, while the gun itself used a delayed blowback action. The weapon gained popularity for being an effective submachine gun - 725 shots/minute and fire range of 50 m. The firearm was perfect for short distance combat.
