Manufacturer: Spanish Armorers (WZ 1920)

The presented saber is so-called officers gift-saber of gen. Sikorski. It was gave only the most prominent officers in the Polish Army. It is an unique and rare item. General Władysław Sikorski got this weapon in 1920 on his name-day from his subordinates – 22nd Infantry Regiment. It was made by G. Borowski armorers especially for this occasion. Sabers from this company was known for brass, casted hilts. Recently it is in the Polish Army Museum in Warsaw.

The blade is flat with slightly shown feather. On side of the blade richly ornamented – shield under the helmet and the polish eagle with crown and inscription “FOR HONOR OF FATHERLAND”. Other side of the blade is smooth.
The casted hilt is fully closed. Form of the hilt is related with the form of karabela’s hilt. The cross-guard with the hoop. The grip  in the form of eagle head with the crown.

The scabbard made of chrome steel. It have two rings and stylized monogram WS between them.  The neck collar was set by pressing. The spur typical for the saber with pattern 1921/22. Prominent heel.

The set include also wooden board.
