POLISH SABER ORDYNKA NOBLE WITH SCABBARD from the 17th century

DECORATIVE COPY - NOT FOR TRAINING

The saber is not sharpened or adapted for sharpening (not suitable for fencing). The blade (blade) is made of polished Toledan steel. Polishing is performed to obtain a uniform, matt, smooth structure. We recommend that from time to time the blade and vagina be conserved with a very thin layer of olive or other greasing agent (this will help maintain the high quality of the product).

KLING: HIGH-CARBON STEEL 1045 polished (requires maintenance)

The other side of the blade is smooth

Saber of Tatar or Kyrgyz origin, probably also used by Mongols and other Asian nomads. Popular in the Commonwealth in the 17th and 18th centuries. Often framed rich in silver and lizard skin. Worn to the Polish costume like a karabela. The blade had a slight curvature of the blade and a sharp engraving. A distinctive feature of these sabers was the open handle and the small cross guard. The scabbard is provided with a simple shoe typical of these sabers.
