POLISH SABRE WZ1934 with scabbard HONOR GOD HOMELAND

This reconstruction is a saber type wz. 34. – polish cavalry weapon from a last years before World War II. Designed by WITU (Technical Institute of Armaments in Warsaw) in 1934. They were produced almost 40 thousand pieces of this type in the Kielce’s Huta Ludwików. It was the last type of the polish warfare saber.

It is a weapon with slightly circular curving, with double-edged finishing. Original pieces had engraved under the moustache “S. wz. 34.” and “H.LUDWIKÓW KIELCE”. The blade was decorated with floral motifs, polish eagle with crown and inscription “GOD HONOR HOMELAND”. The second side of the blade is smooth.
The hilt is of beech wood, united with two screws. Both sides of the grip are notched. The pommel covered by golden hood. The golden cross-guard has short but pretty wide moustache. The hilt is fully closed.
The scabbard was made of Toledo’s chrome steel.
