It?s an exact replica of gladius from Mittelrheinisches Landesmuseum collection in Mainz. These unique, officer?s sword is dated to I century AD, the Roman imperial period. Found on the Barbaricum territory, in Germany.

The hilt was made entirely of brass, casted in one form with a pommel formed as eagle?s head and richly ornamented grip. The guard is circular. The blade is tempered, highcarbon steel.
