Manufacturer: Spain (K1115)

First flintlock pistol was developed by Marin le Bourgeoys for King Louis XIII shortly after his accesion to the throne in 1610. Its name originated from the lock mechanism using to firing the gun a piece of flint mounted in the jaws of the hammer. The flint hitting the metal frizzen made a spark which fired the gunpowder.
