Figure collectors bohun - trilogy

Literary figure figurine depicting Henryk Sienkiewicz's novel "Ogniem i Mieczem", which is the first part of the famous trilogy set in seventeenth-century realities Republic od Poland. The prototype Sienkiewicz was a Cossack hero Colonel Ivan Bohun, who during the uprising of Bohdan Chmielnicki (1648-1654), and this event is the main canvas of the novel, is famous for, among others, at the Battle of Beresteczko, where he commanded the defense of the Cossack camp.

Bohun is dressed in typical Cossack dress, or shirt, Zupan, wide trousers - galligaskins and shoes with high boots and armed with a saber Polish-Hungarian type, circular gun with lock; baton under his belt - a sign of rank in the army Cossack.
